Day 30 - Do Not Fear:  God's Word of Hope for Every Day!I

Today's Do Not Fear is again from Matthew 10 with Jesus' instruction to his disciples.  In today's verses Jesus says, 

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?

Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.

And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

I'm wondering if Jesus brought up the analogy of sparrows because the disciples had Sparrow Brain Syndrome.  Hmmmm....it seems to fit their thinking of themselves as being too inconsequential to do much of anything.  But Jesus says otherwise.  Listen in:  

And for some reason today I just can't get You Raise Me Up out of my head!  Jesus raises us up to be more than sparrows.  Rise and soar today!
